Justice Seen Justice Done! |
|
This is a new national Home Office Neighbourhood Crime and Justice programme that aims to improve public confidence in how crime is tackled and justice delivered.
The campaign aims to raise awareness and understanding of what the public can expect from the council, police and other organisations making sure local priorities are tackled and demonstrating that there are tough, visible consequences for those who break the law.
Halton Borough Council, Cheshire Constabulary, the Probabtion Service and the Courts work closely with other partners and Community Crime Fighters under the ‘Justice Seen Justice Done’ banner to not only raise the awareness of your rights, but also to improve the Criminal Justice System across Halton.
The Justice Seen Justice Done priorities are to:
- Have one dialogue with the public
-
Promote the Policing Pledge
-
-
Promote and support Community Crime Fighters
-
Support Victims and Witnesses

Hate Crime Community Reporting Centres |
|
Cheshire Police, Halton Borough Council and its partner agencies recognises that sometimes the public may feel mistrustful or too intimidated to contact the Police directly about hate crimes so have set up a number of Community Reporting Centres.
A hate crime is when someone or groups of people verbally abuse, intimidate, threaten or physically abuse someone because of their faith, disability, sexual orientation, gender or race. For this reason we commenced a collaborative project with partner agencies, to offer a safe, comfortable environment for people to report hate crimes and Incidents.
